DANCE WITH DEATH (2018) 24':27''

A documentary about the intimate relationship of Neapolitans with death.

Regardless of the constant peril of an active volcano that has erupted more than thirty times
in the past, Neapolitans are still living in their beloved city.

It is believed that Neapolitan folklore has in fact origins in Greek culture and for the same very reason
they don’t seem to be afraid of God or death. They humanized these concepts instead. In lots of cases
although it is against the Christianity’s belief, they continue to have conversation with the dead;
demystifying and as almost all the characters of the film declare "exorcizing" death through music.
Seems that music is the very solution that Neapolitans suggest as the only way to accept and live with death.
